HOW FAR CAN YOU GO FOR AN INSTAGRAM SHOUT OUT

This post would have been up last week but I was caught in a lot, as my Lil one was down and that threw me off balance. It's crazy being a new mom as I get to learn new things daily.

I was gisting with a friend of mine and she was going through her instagram page. The next thing that came out of her mouth was " I dont understand how one will have a lot of clothes" She mentioned a ladies name on Instagram and I am familiar with the lady too. I told her she shouldn't feel bad or even different that she doesn't get to wear all that. Most IG ladies like me as I will love to call them model for a lot of boutiques or clothes sellers. If you notice they tag these clothes sellers so people can go follow them and buy from them. They dont all own these clothes. That doesn't mean there aren't few others who are shopaholic. I basically told her to be contented with what she has.
Well, that isn't my question for the day. I have gotten tired of this so called Instagram fashion handles who give shout out and the only shout out they give mostly is to ladies who are scantly dressed or have the big ass, big hip or boobs and call that fashion.
Daily I see well dressed ladies who have style and are game changers but they dont get this so called shout out. But if the same ladies are scantly dressed trust me they will get one.

I remember using a pic on instagram and I said "fashion is about what you are wearing(clothe) and not what you ain't wearing " and I tagged some of these fashion handles that I know do such and guess what? I got blocked by some of them lol...
just wondering should one corrupt good morals for a shout out?

ReplyDeleteI see a lot of people comment under popular IG handles with "follow back" and things like that. I laugh because we are consumed by the amount of followers we have on social media.. instead of nurturing the relationships we have in the "real world"

I've noticed that trend too, its frustrating but no one should ever corrup good morals just for followers. Besides Instagram is pretentious anyways, sha it doesnt mean I don't like posting pictures or want more followers. Love the dress and the high low effect of the dress.

As a new you look fantastic girl! The polka dot dress is so pretty. We can never use social media to measure ourselves. Trying to keep up with the Jones will have you broke both on the inside and out LOL.
