Ahmad and Sarah live in the same town; their both parents were very close friends so that made them family friends. Sarah has always referred to him as call Uncle Ahmad.
For Sarah, she has always had a crush on Ahmad ever since she was a teenager.
When she turned 18, she felt she was old enough to tell him how she felt, but at that time he had a girlfriend.
Some months later, she found out from his Sister, who is also her friend that he was out of the relationship and was happy about the "good news”. She got his number, and contacted him which led to a new formed friendship.
At first Ahmad thought it was just her being nice to him, until she told droped the bomb on him, telling him, she has always liked him but couldn't say so to him because, he was in a relationship. Ahmad, who just got out from a breakup, didn't know what to do. One day he told himself, 'Sarah has been nice to me ever since my last breakup and she seems like a good girl. So he agreed to date her. She stopped calling him Uncle Ahmad and started calling him "Baby"
This went on for some months and soon Ahmad was coming back for the weekend to see his parents. Sarah was excited.
She lied to her mom, just so she could go see Ahmad. In her bag was a beautiful red dress that she bought at a shop down town. Her plan was to rush to her friends place to change then off she goes to Ahmad's place.
When Sarah got to Ahmad's place, she couldn't wait to see him, she was so excited that she jumped on him and kissed him all over. They were so overwhelmed with their emotions that they ended up making love. She just lost her virginity to that one man she had a crush on for so many years.
Ahmad works in Lagos but travels every other weekend to Ondo to see her.
Anytime Ahmad was in town, Sarah would sneak from her Mum's shop to go see him. They made love every time. She got so into him at that time.
A year letter, she got a scholarship to go read Medicine in UK, she had to leave. She was so sad but they both knew she won’t be back until after 3years. That means he always has to keep going to UK if he has to see her.
Ahmad knew, he wouldn't wait for her. She was just 19 and he was 28. He wasn't ready for long distance because experience has taught him. Ahmad waited until she got to UK before he called her. They both talked and he told her, he couldn't wait for her. His reasons were that, he will obviously cheat on her and also she was too young.
For now all they do is talk on phone but not as often. Her birthday is in 2months, she is expecting him but he doesn't feel he should go.
Ahmad and i spoke at length about this and he wants to know if he was wrong or right with the decision he made?

ReplyDeleteI personally do not oblige grown men dating teenagers.. Yes she was legal, but barely legal. He knew how old she was when he started fooling around with her, now all of a sudden she's too young??? Wow. He needs to date women his own age, I don't care how mature someone 5+ years younger than him acts, let the younger women live their lives and fully mature. She should focus on her studies, if boys her age are too immature for her right now she should wait until she gets a little older.. My opinion

ReplyDeleteIn this situation no one can really convince Ahmad to go see Sarah cos its obvious he's not committed to her in any way. This shows from the foundation of the relationship...I feel they should let each other be
