Harmatan just came back like it never left lol.. How you doing everyone?
Dressing for this weather isn't so much fun because it requires a lot of cover cloths.But I will take this cold anytime rather than heat.

Who feels same?

Covering up does not necessary mean wearing a full overall. It also does not mean you can't look cute and fun

I went to visit my sister yesterday and this was the look I had. A black and white turtle neck with stones on the shoulder. I paired it with my A line skirt and my ankle sandals from Jumia.

You can add pop socks to this look, wear a different pair of shoe and rock it to work.

You can also switch it up like I did in the pic below, by wearing a fun sneakers for a more relaxed look

Whatever way you styling always ensure you wear it with confidence.

THE SECRET TO WEARING AN ALL WHITE OUTFIT

Wearing an all white outfit can really be hard especially in a busy city where you come in contact with a lot of people in one day.

For me, if I have to wear white, I ensure am driving all through and I won't be visiting a lot of places. I love the all white trend but it takes a lot to ensure you don't get stained lol. Who agrees?

I love to throw in a kimono in my white outfit and trust me it helps a lot. I think it's more like a covering for me so I don't get stained lol....(basically the secret to wearing white)

It also gives the outfit a different look.

Hello everyone and happy new week. I still can't believe we almost in February woo!

When did we say happy new year? It was only yesterday.

Last weekend, I decided to make my hair and am not one to wear any other color apart from black on my hair, but my Sister Ejay, the one who said she is one of the pioneers of my blog, but still doesn't take me pictures*long hiss* remember her? Lol yes, she did a good job convincing me to to try another color on my hair. I really hope it's fine.

For this look am wearing a white tee on a high waist Jean, a floral kimono and my sling back sandals

ROCKING ANKARA WITH LEATHER

When I did my first post last week after 5 months of going exile, I was scared that I have lost a lot of readers and yes I did because am so sure people got tired of refreshing my page after a while. I did not know how to announce my return but I told my self your loyal readers will continue checking and refreshing. I was so impressed when I had a good number of viewers. Life has thought me to be consistent in all you do and in the end it will pay.

Blogging for me started as a hubby. I started with a BBM group and BBM group could only take 30 members and I had more people wanting to join, so I decided to open a blog.

This was to ensure I reach out to more people than just 30 women. I wanted it to also have an area too where we celebrate men. If you have been with me from the beginning, you will know we also talk about our men. Through blogging I have made good friends and I can't mention them all.

What is this epistle about? It's just to thank everyone who take out time to visit my blog,
I appreciate.

I love this ankara crop top that was initially made for my sister but it was too small for her so I decided to rock it. I paired it with my leather skirt and my ever so painful sandal lol. Well beauty is pain abi?

As a new mom, i cant always stop on the way and take pictures. So I decide to do my photo shoot at home. Yesterday my baby girl was 1month yay! excited!
God has been faithful to me.

TREND ALERT! CHOKER

Holla! How una weekend? (How was you weekend).
Mine was fine. I had a lot of guest and that means enough cooking. I was cooking all through. Did i tell you I make the best jellof rice? Hehe Hehe. ....

Let me officially tell you that the 90's trends are making a come back this year and kicking off the come back is the CHOKER.
Am sure you would have noticed it in one or two ladies here in Nigeria.
Style stars like Britney Spears, late Aaliyah, Destiny child, Brandy and Monica etc all rocked this trend.

Chocker are beautiful neck piece mostly made with velvet material what we locally call akpoche.

This is the look I wore yesterday and I decided to style my choker with a long stripe skirt and a black sleevest top and a pop of color with my sandal.

Because I am rocking my natural hair, most of my looks are defined by it.
I am more on the bohemian look when I show off my hair.

My hubby and mum said I look good on my natural hair. Lol..
I think I do too.. The amazing thing about my natural hair journey is when people stop to ask "Is this your hair" amaze ball feeling. Lol...

HOW I GAINED ONLY 2 KG DURING PREGNANCY

Happy weekend!!

Mehn... who said being a mom was easy?

it's not ooo..

I can't remember the last time I slept for 3 straight hours *yawns* but I can't complain because some women pray to be in my shoe.

Yes now!

So it's 3 weeks plus since I had my baby girl and when I put up my post baby body on Instagram a week after delivery people did not belive it was me.

I had a lot of people on BBM whataspp etc asking me how I did it?

If you read my last post I told you how I only gained 2kg all through my pregnancy.
I explained how I weighed 60kg before I took in and 68 at delivery. After my baby birth I checked my weight and I was at 62kg. That means I gained just 2kg.

I also gained back my body 2weeks after delivery.

Impossible right?

So Base on request I am doing this post and this is just

to share with you how I stayed fit during pregnancy .

Food

The key is to eat a lot of protein and less carbohydrate.

I ate more beans. Well if you know me, you will know beans is my favourite. I ate beans almost everyday. I ate moimoi too alot.

I drank a lot of cereals and oat.

Oat is actually good for the baby.

I ate lot of cabbage and carrot (coleslaw)

Banana was my favourite fruit( rumour has it that it makes the vagina taste sweet shhh...)

I avoided waking up at nite to eat. Trust me there were some nites I was hungry. I just took cold water instead. When you take cold water you fill filled.

I did not eat junk

I ate less fried stuff. Rather than fry egg, I ate boiled egg.

Eggs are very good in helping to stay in shape. So I ate eggs every morning.

Instead of fried plantain, I buy roasted plantain.

For carbohydrate food I ate in lil portion. I was eating more ofada rice than normal rice. Ofada has less carbohydrate.

Yam, noodles and garri was all in Lil portion.

If I had to eat yam. I make yam porriage with enough fish. So for every food, you see more protein and less carbs

I dint take chocolate, soda(coke and the rest)

I avoided sugary foods in general.

I swap them for fruits like banana and plums.

When you pregnant you drink lots of water so drinking that was filling.

Take lots of water.

Exercise

The key is to take one step at a time.

I started by doing long walk

I then added some squat, leg raises etc.

Try and do aleast 20mins of exercise.

I do a lot of house chores, in short I am an organiser so I also use that as a form of exercise.

Always rest in between and take deep breaths

Don't get up immediately after any exercise. Sit for 2 _ 5mins so you don't feel light headed.

These were the few things I did that made me stay in shape during my pregnancy

Please remember to enjoy your pregnancy and not look worn out because of it.

It's a thing of joy.

It not easy for all women. So the key is to try. Baby step I will advice.

MY PREGNANCY STYLE

Happy new year everyone ..... who missed me? Lol Thank you to everyone who checked up on me both on BBM,instagram,calls etc.. I don't want to mention names but I appreciate you all. Especially my fellow bloggers who has been on my case to do a new post. This post would have been up on the ist of January which happened to be my birthday but my laptop was having relationship issues with me *sighs* If you follow me on instagram you would have heard the good news *doing my shoky moves*(is shoky still raining?). The reason I have been away for some months is because I was pregnant and thanks be to God I had a baby girl 3 weeks ago*smiles*. Last year was a pretty awesome year for me as I got engaged, married and had a child the same year. Yes! My God is good. I only pray this year would be better for us. I have a lot to share but I want to kick it off with my maternity style. I had people wanting to see what I wore during my pregnancy and trust me it's not easy being stylish with a protruding tommy lol most women can relate .
Below are my pregnancy style

I had a easy pregnancy for that I thank GOD. One thing that I did a lot during my pregnancy was I made my nails a lot. In short the nail lady got tired of me lol...

I also did not shop for new clothes as I mainted the same size before and after pregnancy. When I took in I was weighing 60 and the week of delivery I weighed 68. A day after I had my daughter, I checked my weight at the hospital and I was 62. So that i means I gained only 2kg
